Apple and Mango Crumble
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 45 mins
Serves: 6

2
Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, sliced
1/2 tspn nutmeg
1 mango, peeled, sliced
2 cups rolled oats
1/3 cup wholemeal plain flour
2 tblspns brown
sugar
1 tspn cinnamon
50g butter
1 tblspn
desiccated coconut
2 tblspns
slivered almonds
Combine the apples with the nutmeg in an
ovenproof dish. Cover. Bake at 180°C for 15 minutes. Remove from oven. Stir in mango slices. To make the crumble topping: place the flour, sugar, cinnamon and butter in a bowl. Use your fingertips to rub in the butter until the mixture is
well-combined and resembles breadcrumbs.
Stir in the oats, coconut and almonds. Spoon the mixture over the apples
and mango. Bake in a 180°C oven for a further 30 minutes; the apples should be
tender when pierced with a knife, and the topping a golden brown colour.
