Spaghetti Mushroom Bolognaise

onion, finely chipped

cloves garlic, crushed

beef mince
350g
button mushrooms, diced
800g
diced tomatoes

tblspn tomato paste

sugar

and ground black pepper

dry spaghetti
Heat oil in a large heavy-based frying pan over medium-high
heat. Add onion and garlic and cook,
stirring occasionally, for 5-6 minutes or until onion is soft. Add beef mince
and cook, stirring constantly to break up mince for 5 minutes or until evenly
browned. Add mushrooms and cook, stirring occasionally for 2 minutes or until
just soft. Add tomatoes, tomato paste and sugar to pan. Stir to combine and
season with salt and pepper. Reduce heat to low, cover and cook, stirring
occasionally for 40 minutes or until at desired consistency. Meanwhile, cook
spaghetti in a large saucepan of salted boiling water ,
following packet directions, until al dente. Drain spaghetti, place onto
serving plates, spoon over bolognaise sauce and serve.
